These two weeks have not overly busy for me. I have been going to my training classes and enjoying the weather after. The sun has been out nicely for most of the time although there have been some partly cloudy days and high clouds at night. Those high clouds have interfered some with comet observations. But not too much.
It was so surprising that the comet was as bright and large as it was. Its visibility from within the city lights of San Luis Obispo was remarkable. I tried to take some photos but I haven't processed them yet. I hope they come out well.
I go into the plant tomorrow and begin my 6:30 am days. I going to bed early will be something to start doing. I mean early (8:30 pm). It's like being a little kid again. The mornings will be quiet though and the drive up the access road will be enjoyable each day. Especially since there should be plenty of good parking at that early hour. The 12 hour days don't start until Saturday. Then will come the hectic times.
